Lynceus2Market in Cruise News of CLIA

Jun 22, 2017

Lynceus2Market project is presented in the Cruise News, Issue 27 (June 2017) of the Curise Lines International Association (CLIA). You can find the article below and also here.

LYNCEUS2MARKET, an EU funded project dedicated to improving the effectiveness of evacuation of persons from large passenger ships, recently convened a meeting in early May to present the progress to the External Advisory Board, of which Kierstin Del Valle of CLIA is a member. The project focuses on means of tracking people onboard in the event of an emergency. It is envisioned to do this by placing electronic devices within lifejackets, wristbands or keycards, which are designed to only be turned on when necessary. Project partners include both CLIA Cruise Line Members Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Celestyal Cruises, as well as CLIA Diamond Executive Partner Lloyd’s Register.

The Lynceus2Market project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 636286.
